1) Scrub a paste of vinegar and baking soda on ring-around-the-collar before shirts go into the washing machine.
2) Remove grass stains with a solution of water, white vinegar and liquid soap.
3) Dab vinegar on mustard stains before washing.
4) Attack spaghetti, barbacue or ketchup stains first with a vinegar and water solution.
5) Use vinegar in the rinse water for table linens and bed linens to keep them from yellowing in storage.

I never heard of using vinegar to prevent yellowing. That's a good one to know.
