Joy to the world! the Lord is come:
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing.
And heaven and nature sing.
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.
Joy to the world! the Saviour reigns:
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy.
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of his righteousness,
And wonders of His love. And wonders of His love.
And wonders, wonders of His love.
I especially like the last verse. So many people think they rule the world but, in fact, the world is ruled by God. Pray that our people in Congress will be aware of that in the coming year.
What is your favorite? It won't be long and be won't hear these songs again for another year.

I really like that song too, and as you pointed out there is a lot of wisdom in it!
I would have a hard time coming up with a favorite - I like so many!
I like so many hymns, it's hard to choose. But Silent Night has always been at the top of the list.
May you have a blessed Christmas, Connie!
