WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

TIP FOR TUESDAY

Storing Tip: If you don't use up a package of bacon quickly, try freezing individuals strips; the bacon stays fresh and you can take out as many slices as you need. Place individual slices on a cookie sheet and freeze quickly. Then stack the frozen strips in a freezer-safe container with waxed paper between layers. Use the waxed paper from cereal boxes for this.

From a Christians View

Our pastor's message yesterday was taken from John 8 where Jesus is making some outragous claims about himself. The people did not understand how Jesus could say the things He did.

We as Christian understand there never was a time when Jesus was not here.
For us: Jesus is the Son of God and is timeless. God's love for us has no beginning or end. And there never was a time that God does not love us.

We can trust Jesus with our past, present and our future. The past need not be a burden to us. We can let go of those awful memories because Jesus holds something more for us. The present need not overwhelm us. With Jesus each moment is the doorway to eternity. The future need not scare us. We can face the future because Jesus is already there.

If we trust Jesus, there is no room for despair. As the saying goes, "I don't know what the future holds but I know the One who holds the future."

I must admit that message was what I needed to hear. Maybe there is someone out there who needs to hear it too. Have a blessed day!

A Thought for Thursday

My Morning Request

I asked the Lord to bless me

As I began my day.

To open up my heart to all

I meet along the way.

I gave thanks unto my God

When daylight turned to night,

Hoping I had pleased my God

In doing what was right.

It makes the workload easier

When sharing with a friend,

Who is part and parcel of your life

Until the very end.

To freshen and fluff your bed pillows:

Place your bed pillows in the dryer with a fabric-softener sheet

and tumble on the air cycle for 20 minutes to fluff them up

and give them a fresh, clean smell.
