Thought for Thursday

When you do what you do

with a will and a smile,

Everything that you do

will seem twice as worthwhile.

Today concentrate on your attitude and your expression.

If you wear a smile you're bound to appear happier and you

might just find you are happier.

Enjoy your day!!

Good Friday Message

Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe,
sin has left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

Remember Good Friday and look forward to EASTER!

Thoughts for Thursday

In the resurrection

that takes place in nature's sod,

Let us understand more fully

the risen Savior, Son of God.

Today marvel at the lesson taught by nature on life,

death, resurrection.....and remembrance of Jesus.

Tip for Tuesday

Place a large powder puff in your flour canister so that it is handy to dust baking pans. Or keep flour in a large-holed sugar/salt for dusting pans with flour.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Yesterday (Sunday) my husband celebrated his 72nd birthday. The kids came in the afternoon for cake and ice cream. It is always fun to spend some quality time with family. We are so blest to have everyone living close by. I'm looking forward to spending many more birthdays together.

THOUGHT FOR THURSDAY

What time I am afraid. I will trust in thee.

Psalm 56:3

Tomorrow has two handles: the handle of fear

and the handle of faith.

You can take hold of it by either handle.

Trouble in Blog Land

I'm having trouble with Picasa. It will not print my pictures. So I just want to tell everyone to have a GOOD DAY. Take time to smell the roses and spent some time outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.

TIP FOR TUESDAY

I have been using ground turkey instead of ground beef for casseroles, etc. I find that if I mix beef bouillon powder into the ground turkey I have a beefier flavor when I substitute it for beef in my favorite recipes.

A Special Family Time

After the morning worship service we were invited to our oldest son for dinner with him and his family. We had a delicious potato dish, pork roast, pork chops, corn and rolls. There were 10 adults and 3 dogs. The weather was so nice that we could spend the afternoon out on the deck. Later we had a delicious dessert. What a busy family they have. There daughter Emily and her husband Brian will be celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary this week. There daughter Melissa and Doug are planning a wedding for October. There son Andy will be graduating from high school this year. He has a steady girlfriend, Chelsey. There is never a dull moment at their house. It was such fun to be included today.

Some good advise.......

Love makes us patient, understanding, and kind.

And we judge with our heart, not with our mind.

For as soon as love enters the heart's opened door,

The faults we once saw are not there anymore.

Today, ask that love color your vision. Consequently,

all faultfinding will be eliminated.

Thought for Thursday

Let your light so shine before men,

that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father

which in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

What other people think of me is becoming

less and less important; whey they think of Jesus

because of me is critical.

TIP FOR TUESDAY

Save cake-mix boxes so that when you put food in a freezer bag, you can put the bag into the cake-mix box; it will freeze in a block that will take less space in the freezer than various lumpy-shaped frozen foods. Either label and date the bags before filling them or remove them from the box when frozen hard and then label/date them. You can reuse the boxes throughout your food processing season.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU READ

There is a book out written by Rob Bell. Rob Bell is a pastor at one of our neighboring churches. Rob Bell is a talented writer. However, in this particular book, he states that there is no lasting Hell. Our pastor did a review on this book last evening. This is some of his comments. Rob Bell believes there is a hell (sort of), but that it doesn't last forever. Our God is so loving that he would not let anyone in hell forever. (Contrary to what the Bible says.) Rob Bell's message fit his situation and culture more than the Bible. His message is similiar to Hananiah's message as found in Jeremiah 28. It sounds nice but doesn't match what God says. A message without judgment brings no repentance. A message that sounds nice is more about our wishes than God's glory. My thoughts ---- How many people will be led astray by reading and believing this book? The Bible states, very clearly, that it would be better for that person to have a millstone placed around his/her neck and be thrown into the river than to lead one of his little ones astray. Pray for Rob Bell. I know Bell is not the first person who wrote a book that was not sound. He is nothing new. It is so important to know the truths of the Bible. If the Bible says it - go for it! The Bible will never let us down! Our book is entitled GOD WINS not LOVE WINS.
