THOUGHT FOR THURSDAY

What time I am afraid. I will trust in thee.

Psalm 56:3

Tomorrow has two handles: the handle of fear

and the handle of faith.

You can take hold of it by either handle.

This has always been a favorite verse of mine.

Thanks for stopping by so often - and for your sweet encouraging comments! (Yes, indeed, I am VERY proud of my boy!) I always look forward to your visits:)

Have a blessed day!

Two years ago when I was in the hospital with a ruptured appendix, the lady in the bed next to me knew that I wasn't doing well at all. Every day the doctor would come in and say, "Cheryl, we don't know why you are not getting better."

One morning after we woke up, the lady said, "Are you the kind of person that just takes life as it comes? Don't you ever get afraid?"
I heard her crying in the night but I myself was in so much pain that I couldn't talk to her. So,that morning I said, "The Bible says, What time I am afraid, I will trust in the Lord, so that is what I am trying to do."

I think she was a Christian but she was having a lot of pain after a stent was put in her artery. She was crying in the night because of some pain and after they gave her Mylanta, her pain went away. She worried all night for nothing.

I like an old saying that says, "When fear knocks at the door, send faith to answer it!"
