Best way to remove the fat after making homemade soup:
If time allows, the best method of removing fat is refrigeration until the fat hardens. If you put a piece of waxed paper over the top of the soup, etc. it can be peeled off, along with the hardened fat.

I've put my soup in the frig, but never heard of the wax paper idea. I'll be trying this - thanks!
